IT Vendor Relations Manager – NATIONWIDE

The IT Vendor Relations Manager is responsible for management of IT asset software and hardware compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing. Align asset management work with other enterprise functional departments, including Finance, Procurement, Legal, Risk Management and operational Lines of Business. Need to possess a clear understanding of IT asset licensing strategies, renewals, co-terming maintenance and cloud architectures to the extent they are fairly well versed in orchestrating contract discussions around SLA’s for performance, security, and availability.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  •  Assemble, maintain, and ensure accuracy of IT asset inventories. Implement and utilize the appropriate tools and methodologies with respect to IT asset inventory and procurement by users. Perform internal audits to ensure compliance and standards are being met. Work with strategic sourcing to track, identify and report savings opportunities for true ups, renewals, licensing, and additional services. Provide leadership with overall vendor rating structure to ensure continuous vendor performance. Work with underperforming vendors to ensure minimum performance standards are met.
  • Proactively manage the software license inventory and perform usage analysis. Participate in re-negotiation of license agreements based on market data, usage patterns, and vendor SLA/performance metrics.
  • Support IT Leadership and Finance by collecting information for budgeting, IT asset compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons. Coordinate and manage contract signatures documents.
  • Act as a software and hardware compliance and standards subject matter expert, providing guidance and sharing expert advice with IT Leadership and Program teams.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and selection; assist with contract terms and SLA definition, and licensing strategy.

QUALITIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related business concentration

 TECHNICAL SKILLS

  •  Strong understanding of Information Technology environment
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology and software licensing strategies
  • Experience in vendor relationship management
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interface and influence effectively with diverse
  • Stakeholders and with all levels of employees/management
  • Ability to promote change across functional teams

EXPERIENCE

  •  Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Procurement, IT Finance, Software Asset or IT Asset Management or like disciplines in large-scale technology and data center environments

 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  •  Knowledge in accounting and financial analysis
