Develop and lead break-through business improvements (quality, cost, schedule, value, etc.) using leading edge procurement practices in IT and Telecommunications area.
Lead cross-functional teams in strategic sourcing and management of all aspects of value obtained from assigned goods/services.
Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of respective global supply markets.
Lead the development and execution of supply strategies that meet or exceed internal client requirements and deliver breakthrough improvements in quality and total cost for assigned category/categories.
Develop annual cost reduction plans, including spend projections for input to the budgeting process.
Provide regular updates on progress and performance to KCI leadership via the Procurement Council.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and refine global supply strategies that result in enhanced value, breakthrough total cost reduction and continuous improvement for IT hardware, software, services and telecommunications spend.
Develop and maintain expert level supply market knowledge for assigned category/categories using supplier visits, Internet, trade journals, personal interviews, and other research techniques.
Develop, implement and manage process and organization (internal or external) to effectively perform asset management for wireless devices, personal computers and desktop software to optimize use of existing inventory and reduce overall costs.
Implement appropriate supplier management processes to drive selected suppliers within assigned categories towards world class performance. Serve as focal point for the supplier relationship. Lead value management/kaizen workshops with selected suppliers to drive down total cost of ownership
Cross –functional team leadership: Lead and/or facilitate cross-functional category management teams to enable strategic sourcing and supply management for assigned categories.
Negotiate, draft, review and approve supply contracts for goods/services within assigned categories. Ensure compliance with contract review and approval procedures prior to execution.
Develop, track, and report on appropriate category performance metrics to capture performance and provide credible input to corporate budgeting process.
Contribute to the development of strategic procurement policies that govern the overall process for IT and telecom procurement, including capital purchases.
Conducts staffing and administrative tasks (hiring, terminations, performance reviews, define goals and objectives).
Travel may be required to various KCI and supplier locations to become familiar with different internal client requirements/issues, and with supplier capabilities and to conduct value management or kaizen-style workshops.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Management, or related field
Six years experience in procurement/strategic sourcing of IT Hardware, Software, IT services, Telecommunications – including Wireless and Land Lines
Experience with Mircosoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
