For thirty-five years, International Computer Negotiations (ICN) has provided consulting and training in technology procurement and negotiations to more than 300 of the Fortune 500 corporations world-wide.
Through its Caucus - Association of Technology Procurement Professionals division, ICN facilitates the exchange of industry information among its members using a variety of media.
ICN has a substantial training practice promoting, producing and delivering a range of seminars and conferences.
An expansion of its consulting practice has created the need for experienced professionals. Senior Consultants will be responsible for assisting ICN clients in all phases of large-scale procurements of information technology products and services, utilizing the ICN Managed Acquisition Process (MAP™). Consultants should be subject-matter experts in technology procurement and vendor management, and should be able to develop acquisition strategies, goals and objectives, prepare RFPs and contracts, evaluate supplier proposals, lead a contract negotiations team, and develop and implement contract management plans.
The successful candidate will have:
• Twenty-plus years experience in technology sourcing, procurement and vendor management (hardware, software, services, leasing, outsourcing, disaster recovery, telecom)
• Ability to lead and manage large complex projects
• Experience utilizing a disciplined results-driven procurement process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work within a cross-functional team
• Experience developing Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotes, Requests for Information, and other procurement related documentation
• Experience drafting and modifying technology contracts and statements of work
• Experience developing acquisition strategies, goals and objectives
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience doing deals with the major technology vendors
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills and PC proficiency
• A focus on high quality outcomes and business profit
• An unwavering persistence, commitment, passion and enthusiasm for this work
• Good people skills; persuasive without being abrasive
• Previous consulting experience a plus
BA/BS required, MBA preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidate will hold a CTPE certification and have a good understanding of ICN’s MAP process. Extensive travel is required. Compensation commensurate with experience.
This is not a salaried position. Compensation is based on assignment.
