Is there any difference between the proctored and Web-based CTPE examinations?

The only difference between the proctored exam and the Web-based exam is how the exam is administered.

Web-based exam:

Once you are ready to take the CTPE exam, an e-mail will be sent to you with your username, password and a link to the CTPE Web-based exam. The Web-based exam can be taken from any computer with an Internet connection, but keep in mind that this is a timed exam. You will want to take the exam during a timeframe in which you will not be interrupted.

Proctored exam:

During the application process you will designate a proctor for your exam. A sealed copy of the exam will be sent directly to the person designated as your proctor. The proctor may be someone who is already certified or a person from your organization who is senior to you and is willing to affirm that you complied with exam procedures.

Both exams consist of 200 questions. You are allowed four hours to complete the exam.
